What we stand for

The values behind our work

These commitments shape how we plan to hire, train, communicate, and support — every day.

  • Dignity and respect

Every person is treated as a whole individual — with their own history, culture, preferences, and right to be heard.

  • Choice and independence

People have the right to make decisions about their own lives. Our role is to support those choices, not make them.

  • Family partnerships

Families know and love the people we hope to support. We aim to communicate openly and work with them as true partners.

  • Inclusion and community

Everyone belongs. We want to help people take part in community life in ways that are meaningful to them.

  • Compassion and professionalism

Warmth and kindness, held together by accountability, reliability, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

How we operate

The VTB Standard

Our philosophy is strict employee accountability, built on fair, documented, and consistently applied procedures.

Every employee is expected to maintain professional conduct, accurate documentation, dependability, compassion, and compliance with applicable agency policies.

  1. Person-Centered Support

Support is planned around each individual’s goals, preferences, and authorized plan — never around staff convenience.

  2. Individual Rights and Independence

Every person’s rights, privacy, choices, and independence are respected and actively protected.

  3. Attendance and Reliability

Individuals and families depend on us. Staff are expected to be on time, prepared, and dependable.

  4. Professional Conduct

Respectful, honest, and professional behavior in every interaction, consistent with agency policies.

  5. Accurate Service Documentation

Documentation must be timely, truthful, and complete. Accurate records protect individuals and the integrity of services.

  6. Safety and Incident Reporting

Serious safety concerns require immediate, appropriate protective action and reporting — without delay.

  7. Staff Training and Supervision

Staff are expected to complete required training and work under supervision that supports quality and growth.

  8. Accountability and Continuous Improvement

We hold ourselves to clear standards, learn from concerns, and keep improving how we work.

The VTB Standard describes our intended organizational commitments. Detailed agency policies and procedures are being developed as part of our provider qualification process.

Doing things the right way

We are taking the time to carefully complete ODP provider qualification requirements, including the policies, training, and oversight they involve.

Growing thoughtfully

We plan to begin with In-Home and Community Support and to expand only when we are appropriately authorized and ready.

Open communication

We’ll be transparent about where we are in the process and what we can — and cannot yet — offer.
