Our services
Support at home and in the community.
Our planned first service, In-Home and Community Support, is designed to help people build skills, confidence, and connections — in the places where life happens. Services are planned and not yet available.

Planned service
In-Home and Community Support
In-Home and Community Support is a service within Pennsylvania’s Office of Developmental Programs system. It focuses on helping people acquire, maintain, or improve skills that support independence and community participation.
At home
Support with routines and skills in a person’s own home, at times that fit their life.
In the community
Support to explore, connect, and participate in local places and activities across Montgomery County.
Examples of support
What support could look like
Every person is different, so every plan is different. The activities below are examples only — the actual supports someone receives depend on their Individual Support Plan (ISP) and the services authorized for them.
Daily living skills
Practicing everyday routines at a person’s own pace — such as meal preparation, household tasks, and personal organization.
Community integration
Exploring and participating in local places and activities, from libraries and parks to community events and classes.
Developing independence
Building confidence and skills that help people make choices and do more for themselves, with support that adapts as they grow.
Building social skills
Encouraging communication, friendships, and meaningful connections with neighbors, peers, and the wider community.
Personal goals & routines
Working toward goals a person has chosen for themselves, and creating routines that bring structure and comfort.
Meaningful community activities
Support in pursuing interests, hobbies, volunteering, and other activities that matter to the individual.
Eligibility for ODP-funded services is determined through the county and ODP — not by providers. Services must be authorized in a person’s plan before they can be delivered.
Our planned approach
How we intend to provide support
Once qualified, these principles will guide how In-Home and Community Support is planned, delivered, and reviewed.
Person-centered services
Support shaped by what matters to each individual and by the goals in their authorized plan.
Independence & self-determination
Encouraging people to make their own decisions and to do more for themselves, at their own pace.
Daily living skills
Practicing everyday routines — such as meal preparation, household tasks, and personal organization.
Community participation
Support to explore, connect with, and take part in local places, activities, and relationships.
Individual rights & dignity
Protecting each person’s rights, privacy, and dignity in every interaction.
Respectful communication
Patient, clear, and respectful communication with individuals, families, and support coordinators.
Staff accountability
Clear expectations for conduct, reliability, and accurate documentation — consistently applied.

Shaped around the person
Every plan begins with what matters to you.
Support should fit a person’s life — not the other way around. Once we are qualified, our team intends to work closely with each individual, their family, and their support coordinator to understand goals and preferences before support begins.
- Goals chosen by the individual
- Schedules that respect daily routines
- Consistent, familiar support staff wherever possible
- Regular check-ins with the person and their team
